Probe Holders

The apparatus that physically connects the AFM probe to the microscope is referred to as the Probe Holder. In the case of AFM probes, the probe holder may also be referred to as the Cantilever Holder. Specialty Fluid Cell probe holders are typically required when imaging in fluid. For most systems, this apparatus is a separate component from the scanner head, although this is not always the case.
