Wollaston Wire - SThM

Veeco's standard Scanning Thermal Microscopy probes are based on a Platinum Rhodium thermal resistor.  With these probes the thermal conductivity of a sample can be imaged.  Together with Veeco's micro thermal analysis instrumentation it allows the user to perform micro-differential analysis and micro-thermal analysis.  The sensitive element consists of a 5µm diameter Pt5/Rh (90:10) wire.
